In Zambia, cataracts remain the leading cause of blindness, yet many people face barriers to receiving the care they need. Through a new partnership, Combat Blindness International (CBI), Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), Lions Aid Zambia - LIAZ, and Zambia's Ministry of Health are expanding access to cataract services across Central Province. Over the next two years, the initiative will support cataract surgeries each year, strengthen local eye care services and help improve access to sight-saving care for people living with visual impairment or blindness.
