We are a developmental agency affiliated with Lions Club International Districts 413 in Zambia, functioning as a non-governmental organization (NGO) incorporated under the NGO Act of 2009. Recognized as a Public Benefit Organisation under Section 41 of the Income Tax Act Chapter 323 of Zambia, our primary mission is to collaborate with the government in delivering health and humanitarian services. This partnership focuses on providing essential infrastructure, scholarships for training, and community sensitization initiatives to ensure equitable access to quality and affordable services. Our organizational structure comprises a nine-member board appointed by Lions Clubs International Districts 413, which oversees management appointed by the board itself. This governance framework ensures accountability and strategic direction in fulfilling our objectives. Annual financial reports are transparently reviewed and approved during our Annual General Meeting to maintain public trust and compliance. Through these efforts, we contribute meaningfully towards reducing inequalities in health service access within Zambian communities

1. Promote access to equitable health services that include the prevention and treatment of blindness, measles, non communicable disease with a focus on diabetes, and childhood cancer.
2. Promote access to equitable education for children and youth to enable them have an opportunity to achieve their dreams.
3. Provide disaster relief to most affected communities.
4. Promote the empowerment of women, youth, and persons with disabilities to lead more independent and fulfilling lives.
5. Strengthen organizational capacity for effective and efficient delivery of its’ mandate and further commit to decision making and financial stewardship that reflects the organization’s values

Message from the Executive Director
Mr. Nicholas Mutale, LIAZ Executive Director
Since our formation, Lions Aid Zambia (LIAZ) has been dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the communities we serve. Our mission focuses on equitable access to essential services, particularly in health, education, and financial empowerment for women, youth, and persons with disabilities. Through strategic partnerships and individual contributions, we have successfully initiated programs that address these critical needs. Our commitment is rooted in values such as honesty and teamwork, which guide our interactions with stakeholders and beneficiaries alike.
To date, LIAZ has achieved remarkable success in various initiatives including the construction of health facilities and schools as well as providing vital resources like boreholes. These interventions have not only improved accessibility but also fostered a sense of community resilience. However, despite our accomplishments, there remains a significant need for continued support to maximize our impact further. We are indebted to our partners whose generosity enables us to create environments where everyone can thrive.
